'Kanata kara' Cast and Staff Revealed with Fall 2026 Teaser

The television anime adaptation of Kyouko Hikawa's beloved fantasy romance Kanata kara has taken a major step forward. The production unveiled its core cast, key staff, and an atmospheric teaser visual along with a promotional video, building excitement for a premiere slated for fall.
Tomoyo Kurosawa voices Noriko Tachiki, the ordinary high school girl suddenly transported into a strange medieval-like world. Kentarou Kumagai brings to life the quiet, battle-hardened warrior Izark Kia Tarj who crosses her path. Yuuichirou Umehara and Eiji Takeuchi complete the main quartet as the calculating Rachef and the arrogant, power-hungry Keimos Lee Goda.
Noriyuki Abe directs at Studio Deen, with Rika Nakase on series composition, Eiji Abiko handling character designs, and Takeshi Hama composing the music. Author Kyouko Hikawa herself is supervising the entire project to preserve the spirit of the original story.
Serialized in LaLa magazine from 1991 to 2003 and winner of the Seiun Award, the 14-volume manga pioneered many tropes still popular in isekai and shoujo fantasy today. The series will air on Tokyo MX, ABC TV, and WOWOW beginning in early October 2026.
