Synopsis
Continues the story of Digimon: Our War Game!
The events of this film take place after the Adventure series has concluded. It begins with the discovery of a new Digimon Egg on the internet, which manages to infiltrate nearly every computer system in Japan. When the egg hatches, it is identified as a new type of Digimon, a Virus-type. It sustains itself by consuming data from various systems and begins causing chaos across Japan. As it consumes more and more data, it continues to evolve. Taichi and Koushiro decide that it is time to stop it. They set off, sending Agumon and Tentomon through the internet to fight this new enemy. But with the Virus taking control of systems like the American military, this digital threat may soon become all too real. Calling on Yamato and Takeru for help, they hope to stop what has already begun and perhaps save this world a second time.
In this installment
Taichi Yagami and his friends have entered junior high and grown apart from their Digimon partners. A distress signal from the Digital World brings Taichi back, where he discovers that Digimon are terrified of the Digimon Emperor, who has discovered a way to prevent Digivolution. Back in the real world, Hikari Yagami and Takeru Takaishi are now in the same fifth-grade class. Their classmates include Daisuke Motomiya, who reminds them of Taichi; Miyako Inoue, a tech prodigy; and Iori Hida, Miyako's neighbor. These three receive new D-3 Digivices and, together with Hikari and Takeru, who still have their original devices, become the next group of Chosen Children. Using the power of Armored Digi-Eggs, they set out to stop the Digimon Emperor from taking over the entire Digital World.
