Summary
Patamon is a diminutive, orange, guinea pig-like creature featuring light blue eyes and bat-like wings that may actually be ears. This mammalian Digimon bears a resemblance to a winged mouse or pig. He serves as a central figure in Digimon Adventure and Digimon Adventure 02, alongside the films Digimon Adventure (The movie), Our War Game!, The Golden Digimentals, and Diaboromon Strikes Back, while also appearing as a supporting character in Digimon Frontier. As the playful partner of Takeru, Patamon was the last of the Digi-Destined Digimon to reach his Champion form in the original series, and similarly the last to achieve his Ultimate form. Despite this delayed evolution, both his Champion and Ultimate forms possess immense power, playing crucial roles in defeating Devimon and the final Dark Master, Piedmon, respectively. Patamon returns as a main character in Digimon Adventure 02, where the Digimon Emperor's control spires prevent him from Digivolving into his Champion form. Instead, he fights in his Armor form, utilizing the Digi-Egg of Hope to become Pegasusmon. In the 2020 series, he can evolve directly to Pegasusmon without needing the Digi-Egg. Throughout the series, Patamon displays a childish and sensitive personality. His attack repertoire includes Boom Bubble, where he inflates his body with air and shoots it from his mouth, and the rarely used Slamming Attack, in which he charges at an enemy to knock them out. Patamon can evolve into Angemon or Pegasusmon as a Champion, MagnaAngemon or HolyAngemon as an Ultimate, Shakkoumon as an Ultimate DNA Digivolution between Ankylomon and Angemon, and Seraphimon as a Mega.
