The Mizuchi bloodline has been pursued by Yokai, or monsters, for ages. Toru and Noboru Takagami are descendants of this family, and on their grandmother's authority, they are entrusted with a secret tool to fight these creatures. That tool is Tenko Kugen, an fox deity able to assume the form of either a man or a woman at will. This playful god is accompanied by a shrine maiden, Ko, and the two move into the Takagami brothers' home. Life just got a lot more complicated.

Following the death of her grandfather, Hamaji Ooyama lives alone on a remote mountain, surviving by hunting. When her brother, a samurai in training in Edo, writes to her, he invites her to join him in the city. Upon arriving, she sees six dog heads displayed publicly—these belong to the Fuse, a group of eight part-human, part-dog beings causing trouble in Edo. After helping a strange man flee from pursuers, Hamaji reaches her brother's home. He asks for her assistance in capturing the last two Fuse members to collect a bounty offered by the Shogunate. However, the task is complicated because the Fuse can blend perfectly into human society, and the man she aided earlier shows traits typical of the Fuse.

When a friend asks Natsuki which high school club she plans to join, she jokes about the "Go-Home Club," meaning she intends to skip club activities entirely. To her shock, this club actually exists at her school, and her offhand comment is taken as a serious application. Before she can correct the misunderstanding, she becomes one of two new members of the Go-Home Club, a peculiar group of girls. The club is made up of members with unusual hobbies, including a fan of bear-wrestling and an extremely wealthy student. This leaves Natsuki curious about what the Go-Home Club actually does.

In the second semester, the current members of Genshiken aim to recruit new members. Three newcomers are attracted by Ogiue's BL artwork and join the club. Although she welcomes their presence, Ogiue frets that the club is becoming overly focused on yaoi and losing its original purpose.

In a summer festival outing with Ryuuko, Makoto fulfills a promise to join Erio for stargazing at an old temple. As they watch the Perseid meteor shower, Yashiro shows up to announce her departure but decides to showcase her esp powers first. She tells Makoto to step back, and shortly after, a meteorite hits the exact spot where he was standing, destroying the torii gate. Though Makoto escapes with only minor injuries, the event leaves him bewildered, making him doubt if Yashiro is indeed an esper or possibly an alien, leading him to rethink his skepticism towards paranormal activities.

Happa no Suizokukan One morning, Daikichi Kawachi watches Rin Kaga energetically crafting fish figures from fallen autumn leaves. To nurture her newfound enthusiasm, Daikichi assists Rin in learning about the diverse and fascinating marine life below the ocean's surface. Santa-san e Daikichi and Rin prepare for their inaugural Christmas celebration, eagerly awaiting the arrival of Santa Claus and his reindeer. Osora ni Mankai As the cherry blossoms reach their peak, Rin plans to enjoy a hanami with Daikichi, alongside Kouki and Yukari Nitani. However, a predicted spring storm threatens to disrupt their planned excursion. Kaeri Michi Following a summer festival, Kouki remains full of energy and desires to continue exploring. Daikichi opts to take the group on a brief detour before returning home.

As Natsume grows more at ease with his ability, he stops seeing it as a curse. He values his time with both human and youkai friends, realizing that joy does not mean having to pick between the human world and the spirit realm.

Otonokizaka High School was saved from closure thanks to μ's efforts, even though they withdrew from the first Love Live! competition. Yui and Kyouko had started the "Amusement Club" in the room that used to belong to the now-defunct Tea Club. When Akari joins, she meets Chinatsu Yoshikawa, who thinks the club is still the Tea Club. The three convince Chinatsu to become a member of the Amusement Club, a group focused on having fun. Based on Namori's manga, YuruYuri is a lighthearted comedy about a group of girls who spend their days drinking tea and looking after each other, often ignoring the supposed main character, Akari, in the middle of their playful antics.

In "The Troubled Life of Miss Kotoura," Haruka Kotoura has always been seen as odd and unsettling by those around her because of her ability to read minds. This power caused her parents to abandon her, leaving her grandfather to raise her alone. As a result, Haruka grew used to being treated poorly, becoming emotionally withdrawn and isolated. Her situation changes when she transfers to a new school. Despite the initial reactions from others, she meets Yoshihisa Manabe, who is fascinated by her abilities. Yoshihisa promises to be Haruka's friend, pledging to stand by her no matter what.
