Synopsis
In Toradora!, Ryuuji Takasu is a high school student with a kind personality and a talent for housework, but his intimidating appearance often leads others to mistake him for a delinquent. On the other hand, Taiga Aisaka is a small, doll-like girl whose fierce attitude and use of a wooden katana have earned her the nickname "Palmtop Tiger." After a series of awkward encounters, Ryuuji learns that Taiga has a crush on Yusaku Kitamura, the popular vice president of the student council and his close friend. The situation grows more complicated when Ryuuji admits his own feelings for Minori Kushieda, who is Taiga's best friend. The story follows these two unlikely partners as they strike a deal to help each other pursue their respective crushes, creating a tale filled with romance and comedy.
Background
Toradora! was selected as a recommended work by the awards jury of the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2009. The light novel was also adapted into a video game for PlayStation Portable, released only in Japan and published by Namco Bandai Games in 2009.
