A pirate once known as the Great Gold Pirate Woonan amassed nearly a third of the world's gold. Over time, his existence faded from memory, and a story emerged that he vanished along with his treasure on a remote island—an island that pirates have been searching for ever since. Aboard the Going Merry, a starving and reckless Luffy and his crew have their loot stolen. In their pursuit to recover it, they destroy the thieves' escape vessel, guided by a young boy named Tabio, who is a captive member of El Drago's pirate crew. El Drago's obsession with gold drives him to seek Woonan's island, and with Woonan's treasure map, he locates it. Meanwhile, Luffy's crew becomes separated, and despite their individual predicaments, they must find a way to prevent El Drago from claiming Woonan's gold.

Boogiepop is a legendary shinigami said to exist unseen. Five years ago, a series of brutal murders caused widespread fear, with some students blaming those deaths on this supposed god of death. In a distant future, humanity has spread across multiple planets, but these colonies are under attack by an alien race known as the Victim. Only the planet Zion remains untouched. To defend their last stronghold, a special training facility called GOA is established. This academy recruits young men from Zion's colonies who have the rare EO blood type and a special ability called EX, training them to pilot the Ingrids—five mighty battle robots referred to as Goddesses. When Zero arrives at GOA as Candidate 88, he accidentally enters the cockpit of the Ingrid named Eeva-Leena. The link between pilot and robot is unstable, and there is fear that Zero might die during the synchronization process. Just as he is about to lose consciousness, Zero achieves full synchronization with the Goddess. Before he can investigate what happened, his intense pilot training begins.

The 1999 OVA Legend of the Galactic Heroes Gaiden is the second adaptation to center on supplementary narratives from the Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu novels. It explores Yang Wen-li's achievements prior to the Battle of Astarte inside the Free Planets Alliance, along with continuing stories about Reinhard von Müsel and Siegfried Kircheis in the Galactic Empire. In "The Duelist," Reinhard, based in the Imperial capital Odin, hears about a conflict over mining rights concerning Dorothea von Schaffhausen, a friend of his sister Annerose von Grünewald. When Count Herxheimer proposes resolving the issue by duel, Reinhard steps forward to represent the Schaffhausen family. "The Retriever" focuses on Count Herxheimer, who, fallen from grace among the nobility, intends to switch sides to the Free Planets Alliance, taking a Seffle particle generator prototype with him. Because the operation requires secrecy, Reinhard is given the cruiser Hässliche Entlein to retrieve both the defector and the advanced device. "The Third Battle of Tiamat" begins as the Empire launches a massive assault on the Free Planets Alliance to mark Kaiser Friedrich IV's 30-year reign. In the clash between the Imperial task force and three Alliance fleets, Reinhard's rapid maneuvers prove decisive in turning the battle's tide.

Set during the Edo or Tokugawa period (1600–1868), the story follows Ran, a wandering samurai renowned for her superb sword skills and love of sake. She journeys alongside Lady Meow of the Iron Cat Fist, a Chinese martial artist. The narrative unfolds in standalone episodes, each presenting brief tales of their various adventures.

In the world of Mushrambo, a deadly virus pushes humanity to the brink of extinction. To preserve life on Earth, a new race called the Enterrans is created. Popee the Performer follows a circus located in the middle of a desert. Each episode centers on the small group of characters as they try to practice their acts, but things often devolve into the characters comically trying to harm one another in typical cartoon fashion. The main attraction, Popee, is a clown dressed in a peculiar red-striped jumpsuit with bunny ears. He is skilled at juggling, clowning around, and producing large knives and small bombs from nowhere. However, he is not skilled at ever carrying out his malicious schemes to injure his poor assistant or the circus owner. His mischievous personality is what propels each episode forward.
