Chacha is a lively girl who dedicates most of her time to learning magic from her teacher Seravi, with the dream of reaching his level of skill. Despite her eagerness, Chacha's habit of stumbling into unfortunate puns during her magic incantations makes Seravi question whether she is prepared for magic school. Deciding the time is right, Seravi gives Chacha the Princess Medallion, which lets her transform into a magical princess capable of defeating even the most powerful foes. Alongside her closest friends Riiya, a werewolf boy, and Shiine, an apprentice of Seravi's former rival Dorothy, Chacha embarks on a mission to protect the world from evil forces. But with the Great Evil Lord scheming against them, Riiya and Shiine competing for Chacha's heart, and the complicated bond between Seravi and Dorothy, Chacha finds it difficult to balance fighting darkness with keeping her personal relationships in order. Despite the constant challenges, Chacha remains determined to face every problem with love, courage, and hope guiding her way.

Nanami Simpson is a young girl. After her mother passes away when she is still small, she moves in with her father, Scott Simpson, on a marine research ship called the Peperonchino. Her father is a marine biologist searching for a creature known as the glowing whale. When he discovers the bones of one, he becomes disheartened and decides to shift his goal toward protecting and caring for these animals. Nanami becomes friends with an orca she names Tico and swims with it daily. Eventually, she gains the ability to breathe underwater, shocking her father. One day, Nanami nearly drowns, but a glowing whale rescues her from death and brings her back to the ship, where her father finally sees it.

Elementary school student Yuuta Tomonaga discovers Deckerd, a humanoid robot being developed by the Japanese police to combat sophisticated criminal activities. Yuuta's frequent interactions with the machine endow it with a "heart," or personality. When Yuuta is subsequently appointed as the leader of the Brave Police, this arrangement fosters a genuine partnership between human and robot.

A young tiger boy named Shimajiro, who is of preschool age, goes on adventures alongside his friends Mimirin, Ramurin, Nyakki, and Toriipi on Challenge Island.
