Nutsberry Town is a charming rural community set amidst sparkling lakes, dense woods, and green meadows, where traditional values are still cherished. It's the home of Snappy the Onion, Wendy the Walnut, and Pee Wee the Peanut—a lively trio known as the "Kooky Kids" who enjoy playing mischievous pranks.
Though never cruel or ill-intentioned, the Kooky Kids inevitably find themselves in trouble as they relentlessly seek fun and adventure. Since Nutsberry Town lacks the distractions of video arcades, shopping centers, or amusement parks, the children create their own entertainment within the natural beauty around them—and through the power of their imaginations.
This series is inspired by Chirorin Mura To Kurumi No Ki, a children's puppet show that aired on NHK from 1959 to 1964, and was revived to capitalize on the nostalgia of parents who grew up with the original.
