The Gwichon Village Mystery

Heo Mumyeong is a cold-blooded serial killer. After his most recent murder, he gets rid of the evidence and decides to relocate to his deceased grandmother's house in Gwichon Village. From the moment he arrives, the atmosphere is unsettling. Strange and antagonistic people question his identity and his reason for coming, and his grandmother's home has been kept in oddly good condition. The villagers appear to want the apathetic outsider gone, all while hiding dark secrets and worshiping the mysterious "Mother." Mumyeong does not believe in ghosts or shamanism, but the violence, death, and eerie rituals prove that something far worse than him is watching.

Background

The Gwichon Village Mystery has been published digitally in English by Webtoon Entertainment since August 11, 2024. The publisher has also released the series in Indonesian since May 1, 2024; and in Thai since June 16, 2024.
