When the midnight bell tolls, we are trapped inside a "Houkago." Within that space, there are no right answers, no objectives, and no stage clears—only the corpses of the dead piling up around us. One day, elementary school student Kei Nimori sees his own name suddenly appear on the classroom blackboard alongside the mysterious word "Houkagogakari"... In the strange school called "Houkagogakari," where recording and suppressing monsters costs lives, the "midnight fairy tale" of boys and girls begins to unfold.
