The Clow Cards are sealed away—if that seal is broken, disaster will befall the world. Sakura Kinomoto is a cheerful and kind 10-year-old girl attending Tomoeda Elementary School. Shortly after starting fourth grade, she discovers a mysterious book titled The Clow hidden on her father's bookshelf. When she opens it, a small, winged creature speaking with an Osakan accent emerges and introduces itself as Keroberos, the Creature of the Seal, the guardian of magical cards called the Clow Cards, which he was meant to keep locked inside the book. Unfortunately for this plush-like guardian, the Clow Cards have already escaped. Now Sakura must capture them before they unleash their powers and cause chaos throughout Tomoeda. With the help of the tiny guardian, whom she nicknames "Kero," and her best friend Tomoyo Daidouji, Sakura must wield a magical bird-shaped key and use her new abilities as the Cardcaptor to protect the town and ensure everything stays safe.
