Personal Information

Fujihiko Hosono made his professional debut in 1979 with the work Crusher Joe while still attending Keio University. During this same period, he began working as an animator at Studio Nue. His stories have also appeared in the manga anthology Petit Apple Pie. Hosono is recognized as the creator of Gallery Fake and Tarō, earning him the Shogakukan Manga Award for general manga in 1996 for both titles.
