Monk Sanzang from Journey to the West finds herself transported through time to modern-day Korea. While Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Wujing hoped to earn godhood through their deeds rather than commit themselves to a Buddhist life, Sanzang wished to stay in the human world and start over as a normal person. However, as she was being hauled up to Heaven on Buddha's orders, she spotted a strange tunnel that led back to the human realm and made her escape through it. She lands on Jeju Island in the Republic of Korea, where she crosses paths with a man named Lee Hyun. The time-displaced monk Sanzang, now going by Hyeon-Jeong, and the tsundere Lee Hyun are thrown into a turbulent romance!
