Based on the popular novel Saga no Gabai Baachan by comedian Shimada Yoshichi, this story recounts his childhood experiences living with his grandmother. Set in 1958, a decade after World War II, a young boy is sent from Hiroshima to Saga because of his family's financial struggles. Adjusting to a new environment far from his familiar life, he deeply misses his hometown. He also feels disconnected from his grandmother and her way of living. However, as he confronts various challenges, he gradually comes to recognize the extraordinary resourcefulness and strength of his Gabai Granny.
