In the human body, roughly thirty-seven trillion cells carry out their daily tasks with dedication. AE3803, a newly minted and somewhat clumsy red blood cell, is eager to fulfill her role of transporting oxygen and collecting carbon dioxide, though she frequently has difficulty with navigation. Conversely, U-1146, a white blood cell, is constantly prepared to fight and eliminate any pathogens he encounters. As their paths frequently intersect, they form a close bond despite their contrasting personalities. Both entertaining and educational, Cells at Work! follows the experiences of these two blood cells and their many companions as they collaborate to preserve the body's well-being.
