Synopsis

Continues the story of Cells at Work!

Inside the human body, approximately 37.2 trillion cells labor around the clock. Fresh from training, the enthusiastic yet somewhat scatterbrained Red Blood Cell AE3803 is ready to start her vital duty of transporting oxygen. At the same time, White Blood Cell U-1146 remains steadfast in safeguarding the body by destroying invading bacteria. Meanwhile, tiny Platelets assemble for their upcoming construction tasks. Whether dealing with injuries and allergic responses, getting lost en route to the lungs, or clashing with other cell types, these cells engage in a continuous, cooperative battle to preserve the body's well-being.

In this installment

In the busy world inside a human body, cells are always on the move, facing new challenges and learning every day. Hakkekkyuu U-1146, a neutrophil, dashes tirelessly in search of any germs that might threaten the body. Although his job is dangerous, he finds it all worthwhile when he sees the cheerful faces of Sekkekkyuu AE3803, the platelets, and the other cells he works alongside. As Hakkekkyuu sets out on his latest mission to track down pathogens, he discovers that even essential cells can sometimes make mistakes, and not all bacteria are harmful. Each cell has moments of weakness, but they rely on one another for support. In the end, it’s just another ordinary day for these hardworking cells!
