Title: Dame na Watashi ni Koishite Kudasai At 29, Michiko Shibata is jobless and nearly broke, surviving on nothing but cabbage. Despite her lack of skills and sparse work history, she keeps applying for new positions, only to face constant rejections. Meanwhile, she splurges on gifts for her much younger boyfriend, hoping he will eventually marry her and provide financial stability. But Shibata soon discovers that her feelings are unreciprocated—her boyfriend has been deceiving her and exploiting her generosity. At her lowest point, she runs into Ayumu Kurosawa, her former and strict boss whom she once disliked. Feeling responsible for her unemployment, Kurosawa decides to help by rehiring Shibata.
