To commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the Treaty of Mutual Cooperation and Security between the United States and Japan, Headquarters U.S. Forces Japan produced a manga titled "Our Alliance; A Lasting Partnership" to emphasize this historical achievement. The manga explains the U.S.-Japan Alliance and the essential part the U.S. military plays within this connection. Featuring two main characters, Arai Anzu, a Japanese girl, and Usa-kun, a boy from the United States visiting Japan, the pair explore and discover information about the U.S. military in Japan and its function in the U.S.-Japan Alliance.
