In "Ten Count," Tadaomi Shirotani works as the secretary for the president of Tosawa Corporation, but he is plagued by a severe fear of contamination. His obsessive-compulsive disorder forces him to wear gloves outside and repeatedly wash his hands until they bleed. After the company president gets into an accident, a mysterious young man rescues him and then disappears. Shirotani is assigned to locate this person and eventually encounters Riku Kurose, who immediately recognizes Shirotani's condition. Despite his reluctance, Shirotani follows Kurose's advice to seek professional help at Shimada Psychosomatics. When he arrives, he is astonished to find Kurose working there as a counselor, offering to treat his phobia. Kurose guides Shirotani in creating a list of ten tasks that are difficult for him, initiating exposure therapy. Although Shirotani is puzzled by Kurose's unexpected kindness toward a stranger, he agrees to the proposal. Kurose admits to having hidden motives, leaving the tenth task on the list intentionally blank. He challenges Shirotani to discover the one thing he fears most, promising to reveal his true intentions once this final item is uncovered.
