Miyu, an eighth-grade student, is placed under her uncle's guardianship while her parents are stationed with NASA. When she reaches her uncle's residence, she discovers he has departed for India and will be residing there with his son, Kanata. Miyu expects to share the house alone with Kanata, but her expectations are disrupted when a UFO touches down at her uncle's property. Emerging from the spacecraft are an adorable infant named Ruu and his caretaker, Wannya.
