Hailing from Wutai, Yuffie Kisaragi is a Ninja and Thief who wields a massive shuriken. Born on November 20, 1991, under the Scorpio sign, she stands 160cm tall with blood type A. Her age varies across the series, ranging from 9 to 15 during Before Crisis and Crisis Core, 16 in Final Fantasy VII, 18 in Advent Children, and 19 in Dirge of Cerberus. As the daughter of Wutai’s leader, Godo Kisaragi, Yuffie is fiercely rebellious and impatient with traditional customs, often clashing with her father. She is determined to restore Wutai to its former glory after its conquest by Shinra. Yuffie possesses a cocky, proud, and brash tomboyish personality, sometimes displaying aggressive behavior while pursuing her goals without shame. She frequently refers to herself with honorific titles such as "Great Ninja Yuffie" or "The Single White Rose of Wutai," and boasts that everyone is "Dyin' to talk to a babe like her." Despite her obnoxious exterior, she is clever and cunning, capable of easily deceiving the party. Yet, she is not averse to heroics and serves as a reliable ally and caring friend who willingly aids the group in battle. Two running jokes define her character: a severe susceptibility to motion sickness on any moving vehicle, such as airships or boats, and an intense obsession with Materia. When she initially joins the party, her primary motivation is to steal their Materia stock. In Final Fantasy VII, she claims she wants the magical items because Shinra banned them in Wutai and she intends to use them to rebuild her homeland, though her obsession persists throughout her appearances with various justifications for hunting these powerful relics.
