Synopsis
Continues the story of Final Fantasy VII: Last Order
In response to reports of monsters attacking the Mount Nibel reactor, the Shinra Electric Power Company deploys its elite SOLDIER unit to investigate. Leading the mission is war hero Sephiroth, along with his comrade, First Class SOLDIER Zack Fair, and a contingent of Shinra guards. Upon arriving in Nibelheim, the village supplied by the reactor, Sephiroth discovers the origin of the monsters and reveals the truth behind Shinra's controversial Jenova Project. Later, Zack is found fleeing through the forest, no longer the heroic figure he aspired to be. He is pursued by the Turks, a notorious division of Shinra's General Affairs Department, who aim to keep the secrets within Zack and Sephiroth concealed.
In this installment
Two years have passed since Sephiroth fell and Midgar was nearly destroyed. The survivors have rebuilt their lives in the newly constructed city of Edge. Cloud Strife and Tifa Lockhart operate a courier service while caring for Marlene, Barret’s adopted daughter, and an orphan named Denzel, all working toward a brighter future. But a mysterious illness called Geostigma begins to plague Cloud, Denzel, and other children in the city. Meanwhile, a group of powerful men start kidnapping children afflicted with Geostigma. Cloud sets out to rescue them, unaware that these kidnappers are connected to his old enemy Sephiroth. This forces Cloud to confront his past and battle his inner demons. With help from the friends who once saved the world, Cloud must unite with them again to overcome these new threats and protect the children of Edge.
