Summary
Ryuuji Takasu is the seventeen-year-old protagonist of the series, currently a second-year student in class 2-C. Although he appears to be an intimidating delinquent due to his sanpaku eyes, he is actually a calm and responsible individual with excellent grades, often outperforming his best friend Yuusaku Kitamura. His harsh appearance leads to frequent misunderstandings, causing him to lack self-confidence and view himself negatively. However, he is highly self-sufficient, having grown up in a household with only his mother, which has made him exceptionally skilled at cooking, cleaning, and sewing. He is known at school as the only person capable of stopping Taiga, earning him the title of the one who can control the palmtop tiger. Ryuuji cares for a pet parakeet named Inko-chan and harbors a crush on his classmate Minori Kushieda. He frequently assists Taiga with domestic tasks she cannot manage, and his feelings for her evolve significantly as their time together increases. Despite being dense regarding romantic nuances, particularly concerning the complex dynamics between himself, Taiga, Minori, and Ami, he remains a stabilizing presence in their lives.
