Summary

Arriving in the city later in the narrative, Kyouko is a veteran magical girl with long red hair and a fiery temperament that matches her appearance. She is frequently observed eating, even during combat. Having endured poverty, she often stole food as a child and despises waste, a principle she applies to both sustenance and Grief Seeds, leading her to hunt only fully grown witches. Having served as a Puella Magi longer than her peers, Kyouko possesses superior skill. She wields a versatile spear that can extend, split into sections, and form a chain with a weighted ball to constrict and strike simultaneously. She can also erect barriers to protect allies or block opponents. Although she initially clashes with Sayaka, she comes to sympathize with her and attempts to offer help after discovering the truth about Soul Gems.
