Summary

Manami Sangaku is a first-year student at Hakone Academy who serves as a member of the school’s cycling club. He holds the distinction of being the first first-year in the institution's history to make the Hakogaku Inter High team. Despite this impressive achievement, Manami maintains an easygoing demeanor and has a habit of arriving late to class, a trait that even extended to his debut at the Inter High. When the Hakogaku bus accidentally left him behind, he was forced to bike to the venue, arriving on stage in regular shorts without showing any sign of distress. His relaxed nature is further highlighted by his tendency to get distracted by mountains, reflecting his deep love for climbing. While he typically appears calm and composed during races, he is capable of becoming highly intense, revealing a darker, more sinister side to his personality in certain moments. Manami is particularly renowned for his strategic use of wind to overtake competitors. By reading the wind, he determines the optimal moments to pass other racers, often giving the impression that he is falling behind because he is not actively chasing those ahead of him. In reality, he is simply waiting patiently for the right opportunity. When he employs this skill, his "wings" become visible.
