Emiya, Shirou

Summary

Emiya Shirou is a seventeen-year-old student in Year 2, Class C at Homurahara Academy. Standing at 167 cm and weighing 58 kg, he serves as the main protagonist of Fate/stay night and is partnered with the Servant Saber. Described as a serious, honest, and hardworking teenager, Shirou is known for his helpful nature and his passion for housework, particularly cooking and cleaning. He also possesses a talent for tinkering with junk, fixing everything from broken VCRs to stoves. Despite having a slight aptitude for sorcery, he was discouraged by his foster father, Kiritsugu Emiya, from developing his magical gifts further. Consequently, he is unskilled in traditional magic, relying instead on Reinforcement, a technique that allows him to analyze the structural composition of objects and enhance their physical properties, such as the sharpness and durability of weapons. Although he lacks mastery over this simple spell, his applications remain limited. Initially confused by the Holy Grail War, Shirou attempts to irrationally protect others from danger, even trying to shield his own Servant. He is driven by a desire to avoid regret, believing that his path is right and striving to make past tragedies meaningful.
