Summary
Aoi Nogami is a Level 7 esper possessing the ability to teleport, serving as the rational counterpart within "The Children" Special Esper Team, alongside Kaoru and Shiho. In her leisure time, she enjoys playing video games. Much like her teammates, Aoi is introduced at the start of the series as acting with a somewhat cavalier attitude that tends to irritate her adult superiors. Although she recognizes that the use of Level 7 telekinesis as an attack is frightening and dangerous, she struggles to comprehend the darker aspects of humanity and why people are apprehensive of espers whose powers are primarily designed for investigation and inspection. It is not beyond her capability to teleport a person into an inanimate object, despite her general lack of understanding regarding such malice. As a Level 7 teleporter, Aoi exhibits high sensitivity to hyperspace recognition. She has demonstrated the ability to neutralize the teleportation powers of other espers to a certain degree and can track teleporting individuals within close proximity. On a comical note, Aoi remains concerned about her smaller chest size compared to her two teammates. Like the rest of her team, she falls in love with Minamoto and becomes jealous if he shows interest in other girls. Aoi is considered the most innocent of the Children, a status maintained by Kaoru’s love for perverted actions and Shiho’s understanding of the human dark side.
