Summary

Tenya Iida is a fifteen-year-old student at U.A. High School with an August 22 birthday, an A blood type, and a height of 179 cm. As the president of Class 1-A, he is a studious and serious individual who initially appears intimidating due to his strict adherence to the qualifications required to become a hero. During the entrance exam, he reprimanded Izuku for what he perceived as disrespectful behavior, but after witnessing Izuku selflessly save Ochako, Tenya mistakenly believed Izuku had deduced the exam's true purpose. Concluding that Izuku was superior, Tenya apologized and befriended him, ignoring Izuku’s attempts to correct the misunderstanding. Although Izuku won the class president election, his nervousness led him to forfeit the role to Tenya. Tenya possesses the Engine Quirk, which grants him super-speed through jet engines in his legs. He hails from a prestigious lineage of professional heroes, and his older brother, Ingenium, inspired him to pursue a career that would make his family proud.
