Summary
Shino serves as one of the Shinigami assigned to guard Karakura Town, taking over the duty from Zennosuke Kurumadani. She has dark hair and wears the standard Shinigami Shihakusho, distinguished by a dark piece of fabric resting on top of her head. Her personality is rude and tomboyish, characterized by a strong will and a tendency to express her thoughts by yelling. She actively tries to drag Ryunosuke out of his shell, repeatedly telling him not to be so soft. However, she is quite sensitive regarding her flat chest, punishing anyone who makes a remark about it with a punch. During the Thousand-Year Blood War arc, on the day they are scheduled to begin their patrol of Karakura Town, Shino spots a very sleepy Ryunosuke. When he looks the wrong way, she slaps him and tells him to get ready to head to the Human World. Although Ryunosuke admits he is scared, Shino insists he has no reason to be since he is with her. When he remains unconvinced, she yells at him not to be a sissy and to have faith in his abilities, suggesting he stick out his chest more. This prompts Ryunosuke to jokingly remark that she has no chest to stick out, resulting in her punching him in the face. The pair arrives in Karakura Town alongside Kurumadani, who offers them some encouragement before leaving. Shino instructs Ryunosuke to split up, with her heading north and him going south. While on patrol, Shino is hit by a group of Hollows and found in their grasp by Ryunosuke. They are rescued by Kurosaki Ichigo, allowing Shino to recover quickly. She waits for Ryunosuke, who takes two days to wake up. When he finally regains consciousness, she seems relieved but immediately punishes him for the delay. When Ivan Azgiaro appears in the room, the pair watch as Ichigo kicks him out of a window, leaving them wondering who Ivan was.
