Urahara, Kisuke

Summary

Kisuke Urahara was born on December 31. He is instantly recognizable by his signature traditional Japanese wooden sandals and bucket hat, a distinctive look that led to his moniker "sandal-hat." While he usually presents himself as a laid-back and jovial individual, he is capable of extreme seriousness when circumstances demand it. His carefree demeanor is balanced by a consistently polite speech pattern, which often carries a sarcastic undertone. Yoruichi Shihouin observes that he tends to exaggerate his efforts whenever he becomes passionate about a subject. Urahara has once humorously described himself as a "mere honest, handsome, perverted businessman." During the Bount arc of the anime, when Ganju Shiba refers to him as an "old man," Urahara retorts by noting that he is the same age as Ganju’s sister, Kūkaku Shiba.
