Summary

Kuroko Shirai is a Level 4 Esper at Tokiwadai Middle School and a member of the public safety organization Judgment. She serves as a protagonist in the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun series and appears as a main character in the eighth volume of the Toaru Majutsu no Index light novels. As Mikoto’s junior, Kuroko harbors an intense, often comedic obsession with her senior, whom she addresses as Onee-sama. She constantly seeks physical intimacy with Mikoto, frequently earning the label of pervert in the process, and becomes jealous when Mikoto’s attention shifts to others, particularly Touma, who often draws Mikoto’s interest. Despite her lecherous antics, Kuroko’s devotion is genuine, as demonstrated during the Tree Remnant arc where she sustains severe injuries to protect Mikoto, cementing her status as Mikoto’s best friend. Her Ability is Teleportation, allowing her to instantly move herself and objects under approximately 130 to 137 kilograms within a radius of 81 to 85 meters. She typically utilizes this power to teleport a strap of needles attached to her leg, using them to pin down opponents. A significant drawback of her power is the necessity for intense concentration; any disturbance in her focus renders the teleportation ineffective.
