Summary

Akira Midousuji is a first-year student at Kyoto Fushimi High and a prominent member of the school’s bicycle club. While he is recognized as a cycling ace, he is equally notorious for his arrogance, flamboyant demeanor, and underhanded tactics. Although he does not hold the official title of club captain, Midousuji effectively controls the group’s direction. He secured this position by challenging and defeating the sitting captain in a race; recognizing Midousuji’s superior skill and his history of forcing opponents into reluctant surrender, the former captain yielded his leadership authority to him. Midousuji and Imaizumi have a strained history dating back to a cycling tournament they both entered. During that event, Midousuji resorted to cheating, which cost Imaizumi his victory. This incident sparked a deep-seated resentment in Imaizumi that persists to the present day.
