Summary
Ren Amamiya serves as the playable protagonist in the video game, while adopting the names Akira Kurusu and Ren Amamiya in the manga and anime adaptations respectively. Born between 1999 and early 2000, he stands 175 cm tall. He transfers to Shujin Academy, entering a world where he initially lacks power or influence and is constrained by the rigid rules of society. Physically, he is a tall young man with a slim to athletic build, pale skin, and unkempt wavy black hair that covers his eyes. His personality is marked by dialogue that ranges from indifferent to cheeky, masking a strong will that defines his role as a Wild Card. He leads the rebellious Phantom Thieves of Hearts, using his ability to exploit the Metaverse to alter reality and change society by touching the hearts of people through illegal heists. To his teammates, he is known as Joker, while the residents of the Velvet Room refer to him as the Trickster. His arsenal includes knives, short swords, and handguns, with Arsène and Satanael serving as his initial and Ultimate Personas. He has accumulated various nicknames, including Leader, Prisoner, and Senpai, and is notably called the "little guinea pig" by Tae Takemi.
