In the shadows, the Phantom Thieves operate as a covert group dedicated to reshaping society by targeting the hearts of the corrupt. Their methods are met with skepticism by many, who view them as mere folklore. Ren Amamiya and Ann Takamaki, two members of this enigmatic team, uncover that Ann's colleague, the glamorous model Mika, is facing harassment. As they plan to aid Mika through the Phantom Aficionado site, the trio encounters a high-ranking executive of a leading production company experiencing a sudden health crisis, which is later believed to be an assassination attempt. To absolve Mika of any involvement, the rest of the Phantom Thieves decide to delve into the suspected poisoning incident. Their investigation soon broadens to include numerous other cases tied to Ren's "Confidants," individuals scattered across different sectors of the city. A looming question arises: might there be a hidden connection between all these missions undertaken by the Phantom Thieves?
