Roderich Edelstein, the human personification of the Republik Österreich (Republic of Austria), is an elegant and refined individual with a frugal nature. His national symbol is the Edelweiss, and his birthday falls on October 26th, the same day as the capital city of Vienna. Austria lacks combat prowess but has maintained his sovereignty through strategic marriages to other nations. He shares a complex history with Hungary, who once served in his household during the Holy Roman Empire era. Although they were married and later divorced for diplomatic reasons rather than animosity, their relationship remains complicated. Switzerland was also a close childhood friend and ally during the Holy Roman Empire, but they drifted apart after their leader failed to distinguish between them. In modern times, they avoid each other and deny their past friendship, with Switzerland often having to rescue Austria from situations involving Hungary. Italy (then Chibitalia) previously served Austria, who mistakenly believed Italy was a girl and forced him to wear dresses until his voice changed.
