Waldstein, Bismarck

Summary

Bismarck Waldstein, known as the Knight of One, is the most formidable of the Rounds and pilots the Galahad Knightmare Frame. Despite his immense power, he views war as a last resort and considers unrestrained strength to be pointless violence. In the second battle of Tokyo, he successfully defends the shore against Li Xingke’s invasion, earning Li’s respect for his tactical prowess. During Schneizel’s coup, he stops Suzaku’s attempt on Emperor Charles, with Suzaku’s urgent command to flee highlighting Bismarck’s lethal threat. After Lelouch takes the throne, Bismarck leads a failed rebellion using three other Rounds members and a Knightmare squadron, only to be overwhelmed by Suzaku in the Lancelot Albion. He attempts to turn the tide with his Geass, which grants brief future sight and was previously used on Marianne, but Suzaku’s enhanced abilities allow him to slice the Galahad in half. Bismarck dies while gasping Marianne’s name.
