Summary

Miwako Sato is a dedicated and energetic female police officer who collaborates closely with Megure. Her career path was shaped by tragedy when her father, also a police officer, was killed in the line of duty during her childhood. She later suffered another significant loss when her former partner, Matsuda, died in an explosion. Sato first appeared as a cameo in Volume 19 of the manga and Episode 130 of the anime before receiving a proper introduction in Volume 21 and Episode 146. Known for her tough demeanor, she often transforms her romantic dates into informal police investigations, yet she remains cheerful and lively. While she is immensely popular among the male officers in the department, she slowly begins to develop feelings for Takagi, despite her hesitation. Sato places immense trust in Conan’s judgment, recognizing that he is no ordinary child and effectively accepting him as part of her police team due to his invaluable assistance in solving difficult cases.
