Summary
Ishigaki, Koutarou is characterized by a kind, respectful, and friendly demeanor, which is evident in his interactions with both his teammates and new acquaintances. He holds his position as an upperclassman in high regard, feeling a strong sense of duty to support his underclassmen. Prior to Midousuji joining the cycling club, the Kyoto Fushimi members shared affectionate nicknames, with Ishigaki going by "Ishiyan" and Mizuta by "Nobu." His kindness extends to Onoda, whom he assisted during their first meeting by retrieving a dropped water bottle and attempting to soothe him. Although he often faces indifference from Midousuji, Ishigaki’s warmth makes him largely immune to rejection when trying to build connections. Despite his gentle nature, Ishigaki possesses a fierce drive to secure victory for his team. He adheres strictly to Midousuji’s strategies, even when those orders require him to leave exhausted teammates behind, causing him significant emotional and physical pain. Nevertheless, he respects Midousuji’s talent and relentless determination to win, recognizing the effectiveness of his methods. Ishigaki commits himself to supporting Midousuji fully in his roles as an assistant and senior team member.
