Summary

Keiichi Maebara, born on April 13, 1967, serves as the main protagonist for the initial three Higurashi arcs: Onikakushi-hen, Watanagashi-hen, and Tatarigoroshi-hen. The son of a renowned and immensely wealthy artist, he relocated to Hinamizawa following a series of troubling incidents in his previous hometown. His charismatic demeanor and sharp wit enable him to integrate swiftly into the community, forming friendships and participating in local club activities. In moments of danger, he relies on Satoshi’s former baseball bat for protection. Within the club, Keiichi frequently becomes the target of good-natured teasing, whether as the answer to trivia questions or by donning humiliating costumes after losing punishment games. He is characterized by his brown hair and dark blue eyes. His school uniform consists of a red shirt layered under a white one, paired with black pants, a belt, and red shoes. On his days off, he opts for a black sleeveless shirt beneath a red vest, green shorts secured with a blue belt, and casual shoes.
