Summary
Yuusaku Kitamura serves as Ryuuji’s best friend and a male student in his class. Beyond his close personal bond with Ryuuji, Yuusaku holds several prominent positions within the school hierarchy, acting as the class representative, captain of the boys’ softball club, and vice-president of the student council. He is characterized by his diligent nature and wears glasses. Although he believes he lacks skill in communicating with girls, Ryuuji disagrees with this self-assessment. During his tenure as vice-president, Yuusaku develops romantic feelings for the student council president, Sumire Kanou. A recurring comedic element involves his tendency to suddenly appear behind Ryuuji and Taiga while they are plotting strategies to woo their respective crushes.
