In a world where the ultimate cosmic evil, "Kuiba," is reincarnated every 333 years to cause destruction, gods and humans join forces to eliminate him just before his revival. However, in 1664, the year Kuiba was destined to be reborn, the assassination plan fails, allowing Kuiba to take over the body of a young boy named Manji. As Manji grows up, he develops a strong desire to become the most powerful warrior. Upon hearing that Earth’s military forces are assembling to fight Kuiba, Manji and his master volunteer to find and defeat this enemy. Unknown to Manji, the enemy they are searching for actually resides within him. The narrative follows Manji as he confronts the challenge of facing their shared fate.

In a future where commercial space travel has become a reality, Cetacea Aviation employs space attendants trained in hand-to-hand combat to neutralize hijackers. Aoi Musashino, one such attendant, is clumsy and given to self-deprecation. Aoi's path crosses with a boy named Laika, who is convinced that his songs bring misfortune to those around him.

The story follows a crocodile living an ordinary existence, completely unaware that only 100 days of life remain. The crocodile goes about daily activities, spending time with fellow animal friends.

The narrative kicks off with the introduction of the first high-tech molcar in Molcity, as drivers start operating state-of-the-art AI-powered Molcars. Potato and their friends become entangled in a chase between a mysterious group and a Molcar AI known as Canon, and are rescued by a talented driver. Potato discovers that this driver is searching for his missing Molcar, and gets the notion to utilize Canon's AI functions to assist in the hunt.

A stop-motion short from Kihachiro Kawamoto. It comically depicts what occurs when an artist brings a being into existence that insists on 'creating' the artist in return.

The vivid color scheme in this early hand-colored animation is central to the story. When a bird is knocked from its nest during a rainstorm, three butterflies come to its rescue. The butterflies then search for shelter among the flowers, but the red rose offers help exclusively to the red butterfly, citing their matching colors.

She hasn't had control over her body for what feels like an eternity. Completely drained, she finds herself longing to cast off her physical form. This film was created as a graduate project in 2019 at the Department of Animation, Graduate School of Film and New Media, Tokyo University of the Arts.

This animation's visual appeal comes from abandoning a conventional plot, instead tracking a pair of butterflies floating by many lovely portrayals of people and other entities.

Terryman, Robin Mask, and the rest of the Justice Choujins are taking part in a tournament held in New York. Out of nowhere, Akuma Shogun (who is distinct from the character seen in the main series) appears, overpowers every Justice Choujin, and drains their powers—leaving out only Kinnikuman, who showed up late because he was too busy scarfing down gyuudon. Now Kinnikuman has to take on Akuma Shogun, who wields the combined might of all the defeated Justice Choujins.

This film depicts the events preceding Ge Nie and Tianming's victory over three hundred soldiers at Huangyang Chuan, a confrontation that signals the start of season one. It also explores the first encounter between Tianming and Ge Nie. Furthermore, a new character is introduced, along with that character's ties to the Western Regions.

During summer break, Lalabel, along with her companions Teko and Toko, shows up at the inn run by Teko's uncle. The uncle and his wife have left to assist an acquaintance with surgery, so their son Ryota is left to handle the entire hostel on his own. Lalabel chooses to lend the boy a hand, and as a group, they all get caught up in running the establishment together.

This film adaptation of Hector Malot's "Sans Famille" follows Remi, who is sold to Vitalis, a wandering musician with a troupe of performing animals. The movie includes characteristic Toei-style musical numbers, slapstick comedy, numerous emotional moments, and remarkably fluid animation. Despite these technical strengths, the story can feel overly dramatic and sentimental. In contrast, the later 52-episode series by Dezaki and Sugino delivers a more fully realized narrative and more compelling storytelling.

During a dog race, a ringmaster appears without warning, fastening fish to the dogs' collars and forcing them to run in endless circles. The crowd grows furious, but the ringmaster argues that the audience is just as blind and manipulated as the animals. After the ringmaster is killed, the race carries on. Yet a single red rose grows from the ringmaster's blood—perhaps a symbol of truth amid the disorder.

On Valentine's Day, the girls are all focused on what chocolates to give to their crushes. Youko is throwing a Valentine's Day party. The girls decline her invitation, only to learn that the boys they like are all going to her party—even Azuki-chan's brother will be there! Yunosuke-kun gives Azuki-chan a chance to hand him chocolate before Youko's party. Will she manage to make a chocolate? Will Yunosuke-kun return her feelings?

In "Unlocking Tannisho," Yuien, a troubled young man, meets the Buddhist monk Shinran and is drawn to his teachings. Shinran takes Yuien under his wing, and they embark on a journey filled with both happiness and hardship.

This hand-drawn animation portrays the vitality of life. Every movement and action of living things is interpreted as dance, set to music. The piece fully utilizes the traits of flat animation, including the visualization and connection of images, as well as the transformation of shape. Note: Recipient of the Excellence Award at the 13th Japan Media Arts Festival.

Discontented factions on the Deloyer colony push for their world's independence from the Earth Federation. After an unexpected coup, the elected Governor declares martial law and installs himself as an absolute dictator. With the Federation's approval, he governs the planet with an iron fist. In response, a ragtag group—including the governor's estranged son—rises in open rebellion, wielding a powerful prototype Combat Armor called the Dougram. Their aim is to end the dictatorship and achieve complete independence from Federation control. The narrative tracks the actions of the guerrilla freedom fighters known as "The Fang of the Sun." The conflict spans the planet Deloyer as the Federation aggressively pursues the rebels.

In the tale, Ikeda Marina, a mangaka who describes herself as "third-rate," is attending a birthday party for a well-off friend when a time-traveling dragon suddenly grabs the entire group and transports them to sixth-century Britain, specifically to Camelot. Marina is then assigned the task of helping the future King Arthur stop a civil war by pulling the legendary sword Excalibur from the stone during an upcoming solar eclipse. However, their efforts are jeopardized by the villainous Lady Dola, who aims to sabotage their plan and take control of Camelot for herself.

Adapted from the manga Mamonogatari Itoshi no Betty by Koike Kazuo and Kanou Seisaku, the story follows Betty, a devil-girl possessing an angelic face and a golden heart. During a rainstorm, she falls for Danpei Kimogawa, a human gangster, and the two begin living together in Tokyo. However, Danpei struggles to manage his new in-laws, a witch and a demon, who frequently drop by at inconvenient times. Unbeknownst to Danpei, Betty's true purpose for coming to the human world is a mission to defeat the demon Lutan. As she pursues this goal, her skeletal grandmother dispatches nubile nymphs to tempt Danpei, testing whether he is worthy of being a husband.

In A Place Where There Are Moths, the clash between drab concrete block apartment living and the natural environment in Japanese cities is portrayed. The motif of a tree whose leaves transform into orange moths represents nature's power, as these moths take over a middle-aged woman's apartment, gradually pushing her room higher and higher within the building.

The 12-minute condensed version of the 1971 anime's thirty-seventh episode was screened at the 1980 summer Toei Manga Matsuri event. It uses only recycled animation from the original series.

The first Gear ever created in the world has been stolen. This Gear, named Kaiservern, defeats the prize winners from the Australia Convention in rapid succession. Kouya and Manganji, who both won prizes at the Asia Convention, also become targets. When the mysterious Gear fighter controlling Kaiservern appears before Kouya and Manganji, the two boys choose to join forces and fight together to secure victory against their opponent.

The Spooky Kitaro short film follows the tradition of other 1990s Kitaro mini-movies by reimagining a previously adapted anime storyline. Each remake presents a distinct interpretation of the original tales, and this film is no exception. It revisits the baseball-themed narrative that was first featured in the inaugural episode of the 1968 series.

After a secret ceremony gets disrupted, five Enlightened cards end up scattered all over Japan. Shobu Kirifuda receives one of these cards from his father. Shori Kirifuda, together with five other duelist hunters, starts a mission to hunt him down. Shobu then confronts Luna and Mikado Kozuki, descendants of the chosen beings called Yaesar who possess the ability to use divine energy.

Yasuji Murata's Animal Olympic Games was produced during the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games and came out before the Los Angeles Olympic Games in July 1932. At the Los Angeles Olympic Games, Japan achieved significant progress relative to earlier Olympics, such as securing seven gold medals.

"Pika Don" is an animated documentary that examines the devastating impact of the atomic bomb dropped on Hiroshima on August 6, 1945. The flash of light from the bomb, which was a hundred times brighter than the sun, is referred to as "PICA," while the massive shockwave that followed is called "DON." At the time of its release, this film was notable as the first animated piece to address the sensitive subject of Hiroshima. Because of this groundbreaking short, the city of Hiroshima launched the Hiroshima International Animation Festival in 1984, recognizing the capacity of animation for expression and communication.

For this piece, I utilized a sheet of graph paper—the kind normally reserved for architectural drafting—and brought together straight lines extending in three separate directions to build the image. To me, the true appeal of animation lies in its constraints. It was those very constraints I wanted to push against, so I set out to craft animation using the barest essentials. Though it may come across as computer-generated imagery, this is actually digital animation drawn entirely by hand.

The short film "Wolf Daddy," directed by Chang Hyung-yun, received the Hiroshima Award at the 11th Hiroshima Animation Festival. This 10-minute animation tells the story of a werewolf novelist who takes on the role of a father for a six-year-old girl. Created in 2005, the animation also earned the 2005 Korean Animation Award and an award at the Tokyo International Anime Fair.

The second theatrical film from 1990, based on the Akuma-kun anime and adapted from Shigeru Mizuki's manga, was directed by Junichi Satō. Shingo Umoregi, known by the nickname "Akuma-kun" due to his extensive knowledge of demons and the occult, and described as a Messiah who emerges once every ten thousand years, embarks on a supernatural journey alongside his demon ally.

The battalion commander of frogs, Pyonshichi, directs soldier frogs while riding on a puppy. He arrives at a swamp near "Ginza-no-yanagi" (Ginza Willow). Osode, Pyonshichi`s younger sister, is at the top of the willow. From the swamp, Namako the catfish sees the brother and sister through a periscope, goes on land, uproots the tree, and kidnaps Osode. Feeling sorry for her as she cries in a cage at the bottom of the swamp, the sun drops a towel with which it was wiping its tears. That towel becomes a willow, and when Namako is asleep a willow branch grows and pulls Osode out of the bottom of the swamp. Namako notices what happened and attacks the willow where the brother and sister are. Pyonshichi asks for help and a full force of frog soldiers arrive. Even so, they face a tough fight against Namako. Bombs dropped from an airplane turn into a caterpillar, and then a Bangalore torpedo. Three fearless frogs take it and ram themselves into Namako. This film merges elements from "Ghost Train" (episode 7) and "Great Yokai War" (episodes 10-11) of the original 1968 series, updating them to match the modern tone of the 1996 adaptation, creating a completely original and distinct story.

The anime Ziggy: Soreyuke! R&R Band follows the Japanese rock band Ziggy as they arrive in London after a recording session, only to be attacked at their hotel. They manage to escape capture but soon discover that their producer has been murdered, placing them as the main suspects. Forced to flee from both the police and a shadowy group, they take refuge with local musicians and somehow pull off a concert. Their relief is temporary, as their trackers soon find them again.
