Synopsis
Nuclear testing has caused the sudden evolution of the Fumoon, a tiny yet highly intelligent humanoid species residing on a small island, and their existence is discovered by Dr. Yamadano. Aside from a few individuals who witness them—such as detective Shinsaku Ban, the young men Rock and Kenichi, and Kenichi’s sister Pichi (Pinoko)—nobody believes his claims. The Fumoon are abducting animals from across the globe to take with them as they use their spaceships to evacuate Earth, aware that the planet will soon be destroyed by a black gas cloud formed from a stellar explosion. The Fumoon plan to leave humanity behind, but one of them, Rokoko, who forms a close friendship with Kenichi, attempts to assist Dr. Yamadano and the others in constructing a spaceship to allow a few humans to escape, with aid from Dr. Ochanomizu and Dr. Frankenstein.
