Synopsis
Continues the story of Date A Live IV
In Date A Live IV, Shidou Itsuka continues his mission with Ratatoskr, taking on new challenges after overcoming previous ones. His everyday life is disrupted when he encounters and helps a starving woman on the street, eventually following her to her apartment. There, she reveals herself as Nia Honjou, a famous manga artist using a pen name, and also a Spirit who knows about Shidou's secret operations. Intrigued by testing his charm, Nia challenges Shidou to a date. As he works to contain her abilities, Shidou learns more about Nia and her connection to Deus Ex Machina Industries, an organization he knows all too well.

In "Date A Live V," Shidou Itsuka faces an even greater challenge while working alongside Ratatoskr. With ten Spirits already sealed, Isaac Westcott, the leader of Deus Ex Machina Industries, devises a plan to eliminate Shidou and seize control of the Spirits' powers. To carry out this scheme, Isaac launches a full-scale assault on Ratatoskr, placing the organization under immense pressure to protect Shidou. Overwhelmed and outmatched, a spark of hope emerges with the Spirit of Time, Kurumi Tokisaki. Shidou must seal Kurumi and use her ability to travel back in time to confront the Spirit of Origin—the entity responsible for the entire conflict.
Background
Date A Live V adapts novels 17-19 of Koushi Tachibana's light novel series of the same name. The series was released on Blu-ray and DVD in two volumes from July 24, 2024, to August 28, 2024.
