Summary
Miku Izayoi, also known by her code name Diva, is a primary heroine in the Date A Live series. Formerly human, she is now Spirit number 9, holding the rank of A-Class Spirit. She serves as a student at the Rindōji All-Girls Private School and works as a highly popular idol singer. Initially manifesting in March and transferring to the academy in April, she is characterized by an intense hatred toward men, a trait so severe that Shido must crossdress to interact with her without incident. Her Angel, Gabriel, possesses the power to manipulate and brainwash individuals. Miku took an interest in the undercover Shido because he remained unaffected by her hypnotic abilities, leading her to challenge him to a contest regarding which school would earn the title of "best school." Although Miku won the singing portion of the competition, Raizen High School claimed the overall title, prompting her to summon Gabriel and attack Shido. Her Astral Dress, Shaddai El Chai, is predominantly yellow with blue and white accents. Her appearance includes light blue hair and eyes, adorned with a yellow moon hair clip featuring flower petals. Miku’s traumatic past involved false scandal accusations from her former fans, which caused her to lose her voice under pressure and nearly led to suicide. This experience fostered a deep-seated misogyny and a view of women as replaceable servants, a mindset that even Shido openly disliked. Despite her initial coldness, she is quite flirty, particularly toward women who fit her preferences and Shido. After growing closer to Shido, she does not hesitate to flirt with him or the other Spirits and even encourages his harem.
