Continues the story of Patlabor: The Mobile Police - The TV Series
In a future where advanced robotics has created heavy robots known as labors, used in fields such as construction, firefighting, and military tasks, there remains a danger that these powerful machines can fall into criminal hands. To counter this threat, police forces deploy their own specially trained patrol labor units, or patlabors. The story focuses on the Second Special Vehicles Division, a varied team of patlabor officers committed to maintaining order while balancing their demanding duties with their personal lives.

In the follow-up to Mobile Police Patlabor, Special Vehicles Division 2 once more deploys their Ingram Patrol Labor (Patlabor) mecha to fight crime throughout Tokyo. Under the command of Captain Goto, the eclectic crew handles everything from standard police duties to eerie supernatural incidents, while also dealing with their own personal dilemmas.
