Summary
Asuma Shinohara leads Section 2 Division 2 Team 1 and is the son of the head of Shinohara Heavy Industries, the corporation responsible for manufacturing ninety percent of the world's laborers. Following a rift with his father, he joined the police force and deliberately requested assignment to the labor units. Described as smart, honest to a fault, and occasionally hot-headed, Asuma is a highly capable officer, though he is frequently exploited by Goto as a lackey. Serving as the commanding officer for Noa and Hiromi in the field, he harbors a soft spot for Noa. Goto acknowledges Asuma’s talent across various disciplines, a fact demonstrated throughout the series.
