Lupin III: Island of Assassins

Synopsis

During a prominent politician's birthday party, Zenigata investigates a counterfeit invitation connected to Lupin. The thief appears just as masked assassins storm the venue and begin firing. In the chaos, Zenigata pursues Lupin out to the courtyard, where a hand holding a Walther P-38 emerges from a window and fires at Zenigata. Recognizing the gun as his own, Lupin decides to probe deeper into the situation. The attackers come from a secret location called the Island of Assassins, which stays hidden because high-level government officials around the world protect it and hire its mercenaries. The island conceals many unknown secrets, and Lupin, along with Goemon, Jigen, and Fujiko, becomes embroiled in a conflict that splits the island's population. Additionally, the film reveals parts of Lupin’s history before he ever met Jigen.
