Continues the story of 1000-nen Joou: Queen Millennia
In AD 1999, Earth faced a dire crisis as the planet Lar Metal drew near. Yukino Yayoi learned of Lar Metal through Dr. Amamori at Tokyo Observatory. Though a junior high school teacher, she also assisted Dr. Amamori, who valued her knowledge of astronomy. In truth, Yukino Yayoi was Queen Millennia, having arrived from Lar Metal a thousand years earlier and observing humanity ever since. Then a barrage of meteors struck Earth, throwing people into chaos. Amid the disaster, Hajime, one of Yayoi's students, rushed to her side. Yayoi led him into a vast underground cavern.
In this installment
The synthetic sun illuminating the frozen world of La Metalle is fading, threatening to snuff out the scarce life that remains there. Queen La Andromeda Prometheum concludes that her people's only chance for survival is to surrender to Hardgear's transformation process, which will convert every individual's body into machinery. The Queen's daughters, Emeraldas and Maetel, reject this course of action and struggle to remain human.
