Summary

Emeraldas is an independent spirit who refuses to be tethered to anyone or anything, striving instead to control her own destiny. She holds a terrifying reputation as a professional killer, feared by many despite her personal code that restricts her killings to those who are cruel or unjust, a philosophy shared with her friend Captain Harlock. Beneath this hardened exterior lies deep loneliness, as she cannot find anyone willing to stay by her side, largely due to her relentless desire to continue journeying through the sea of stars. She possesses immense pride in herself, including her flaws. She keeps the scar on her face as a constant reminder not to take her vulnerabilities for granted. This pride extends to her refusal to accept a Machine Body, a decision driven by her intense hatred for the Machine Empire and her mother, whom she despises for becoming one. Even when bedridden and near death, she would rather have an android command her ship than live forever as a soulless machine. She is particularly drawn to people who dream, especially when hope seems impossible for them. As a La Metalian, Emeraldas enjoys a long lifespan, potentially lasting at least a millennium. She is renowned as a powerful combatant, with very few capable of besting her in battle. Her aggressive fighting style is well-known among opponents, and she wields the Gravity Saber with exceptional skill, particularly using its sword function. Even after contracting a disease that could kill her, her prowess remains sufficient to defeat top-tier duelists. She is also an excellent marksman, utilizing a quick draw technique with her Cosmo Dragoon that can kill an opponent instantly, though she rarely uses the rifle function of the Gravity Saber. Assisted by her ship’s computer, she is also an excellent navigator.
