Goemon Ishikawa, a skilled samurai and loyal ally of Lupin, takes on a job as a bodyguard for a yakuza boss. When the boss is killed by a ruthless assassin, Goemon, driven by a strong sense of honor, sets out to track down and eliminate the murderer.

A remote house in the desert is where Fujiko Mine assists a man named Randy in looking after his frail son, Gene. It seems like an ideal setup—except it's a lie. Randy has stolen a large sum of money, and Fujiko has no real interest in the family. Or is that the deception? When the company Randy robbed sends a strange man to kill him, Fujiko agrees to Randy's plea to protect Gene, going far beyond what anyone would expect for the boy.
